Tolnaftate topical solution USP is for external use only. Do not take by mouth. Wash hands before and after use. If you are treating a hand infection, only wash your hands before use. Do not get this medication in your eyes. If you do, rinse them out with plenty of cool tap water.
The solution is clinically proven effective for:
• Active Infections: Treatment of athlete’s foot (tinea pedis), jock itch (tinea cruris), and ringworm (tinea corporis).
• Off-label Uses: Sometimes used for tinea versicolor (discolored skin patches).
• Prevention: Specifically indicated for preventing the recurrence of athlete’s foot with daily use.
• Symptomatic Relief: Provides relief from itching, burning, scaling, and cracking associated with these conditions.
